「擁抱後山的光」

這23幅釘線畫來自台灣台東縣金峰鄉的新興國小。這所被山海環抱的小學創立於民國五十年，學生多半是排灣族的孩子。2022年在「原味文化校園」的長期目標下，他們邀請了島生棲所的兩位藝術創作者游雯嵐、郭秉泓進駐校園，帶著孩子們將部落文化的內涵與神話轉化成為釘線畫作品。孩子們就在這一條一條線不斷拉勾與圖像誕生的過程中，對自己的文化有了更多的理解。

文化素養正是這樣一點一點緩慢養成的啊！它無法速成，它沒有捷徑……

-Seeing Taiwan from the World's Perspective-

"Embracing the Light of the Back Mountain"

These 23 string art pieces come from XinXing Elementary School in Jinfeng Township, Taitung County, Taiwan. This school, surrounded by mountains and the sea, was founded in 1961, with most of its students from Paiwan indigenous background. In 2022, as part of the long-term goal of “Indigenous Culture Campus,” they invited two artists from Biofication Studio, WEN-LAN YU and PING-HOUNG KUO, into the school and work with the children to transform the essence and myths of tribal culture into string art pieces. Through the process of creating these lines and images, the children gained a deeper understanding of their own culture.

Cultural literacy is nurtured slowly, bit by bit, indeed!

It cannot be hurried, there are no shortcuts for it......
